1. Introduction

Reselo – Resale Value Scanner ("Reselo", "we", "our", "us") is an iOS app operated by Sabri El Makhoukhi (bundle ID: com.app.reselo). This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what data the app uses and why. It is written to be GDPR-friendly for EU users.

2. Data stored locally on your device

Your scan results, collections, photos you take inside the app, app settings, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. Reselo does not operate a user account system — there is no email/password login and no cloud profile tied to your identity.

3. Photos and AI processing (required for core features)

To identify items, estimate resale value, generate listing text, and optionally enhance photos, item images are sent to Google Gemini (Google AI). If Gemini is temporarily unavailable, OpenAI may be used as a fallback provider.

Photos are processed for the sole purpose of delivering these app features. We do not maintain a long-term photo library of your scans on our servers. Please do not scan documents, ID cards, or other sensitive material you would not want to be processed by an AI provider.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscription status is verified through Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat. We do not store or have access to your payment card details or Apple ID. Current plans:

  • 3-day free trial — up to 10 scans
  • Pro Monthly — €12.99 / month, 150 scans per month
  • Pro Yearly — €59.99 / year, 50 scans per month
  • Enhance add-on — limits as described in the Terms

5. Analytics and advertising measurement

PostHog (product analytics)

We use PostHog to understand how people use Reselo and to improve the app. PostHog receives an anonymous install ID (e.g. reselo_<uuid>), onboarding steps, paywall events, subscription events, and scan metadata such as product name, brand, and estimated value. PostHog does not receive your scan photos. PostHog is hosted in the United States (us.i.posthog.com). See posthog.com/privacy.

Meta (Facebook) App Events

We use the Meta SDK to measure app installs and the performance of advertising campaigns. Anonymous device and app events such as app open, onboarding completed, trial started, and subscribe are sent to Meta (App ID 1640354903714800). This is used for advertising attribution only — we do not sell your data. See Meta Privacy Policy.

Neither PostHog nor Meta receives your photos, email, name, or Apple ID.

6. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use your data for cross-app tracking beyond standard ad attribution via the Meta SDK. No IDFA is collected unless you grant App Tracking permission in a future version of the app.
  • We do not require social login.

7. Data retention

Local data stays on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Analytics providers (PostHog, Meta) retain event data according to their own retention policies.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Most data lives locally on your device, and analytics uses anonymous identifiers, but you can still contact us at Sabri.makhoukhi@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

9. Children's privacy

Reselo is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that apply that threshold). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Reselo – Resale Value Scanner ("Reselo", "wij", "ons") is een iOS-app van Sabri El Makhoukhi (bundle ID: com.app.reselo). Dit privacybeleid legt in heldere taal uit welke gegevens de app gebruikt en waarom. Het is opgesteld in lijn met de AVG (GDPR) voor gebruikers in de EU.

2. Gegevens lokaal op je apparaat

Scanresultaten, collecties, foto's die je in de app maakt, app-instellingen en voorkeuren worden lokaal op je iPhone bewaard. Reselo heeft geen accountsysteem — er is geen login met e-mail/wachtwoord en geen cloudprofiel gekoppeld aan je identiteit.

3. Foto's en AI-verwerking (nodig voor de kernfuncties)

Om items te herkennen, verkoopwaardes te schatten, advertentieteksten te genereren en foto's optioneel te verbeteren, worden item-afbeeldingen verzonden naar Google Gemini (Google AI). Wanneer Gemini tijdelijk niet beschikbaar is, kan OpenAI als terugvaloptie worden gebruikt.

Foto's worden verwerkt om deze functies te leveren. We bewaren je scanfoto's niet langdurig op onze servers. Scan geen documenten, ID-kaarten of andere gevoelige informatie die je niet door een AI-provider verwerkt wilt zien.

4. Abonnementen en aankopen

Je abonnementsstatus wordt geverifieerd via Apple StoreKit en RevenueCat. We bewaren geen creditcardgegevens of Apple ID-gegevens en hebben daar geen toegang toe. Huidige plannen:

  • Gratis proefperiode van 3 dagen — maximaal 10 scans
  • Pro Maandelijks — €12,99 / maand, 150 scans per maand
  • Pro Jaarlijks — €59,99 / jaar, 50 scans per maand
  • Enhance add-on — limieten zoals beschreven in de Algemene Voorwaarden

5. Analytics en advertentiemeting

PostHog (productanalytics)

We gebruiken PostHog om te begrijpen hoe mensen Reselo gebruiken en om de app te verbeteren. PostHog ontvangt een anonieme install-ID (bijv. reselo_<uuid>), onboardingstappen, paywall-events, abonnement-events en scan-metadata zoals productnaam, merk en geschatte waarde. PostHog ontvangt geen scanfoto's. PostHog wordt gehost in de Verenigde Staten (us.i.posthog.com). Zie posthog.com/privacy.

Meta (Facebook) App Events

We gebruiken de Meta SDK om app-installaties en advertentieprestaties te meten. Anonieme app-events zoals app geopend, onboarding voltooid, trial gestart en abonnement afgesloten worden naar Meta gestuurd (App ID 1640354903714800). Dit is uitsluitend voor advertentie-attributie — we verkopen geen gegevens. Zie Meta Privacybeleid.

Noch PostHog noch Meta ontvangt je foto's, e-mailadres, naam of Apple ID.

6. Wat we NIET doen

  • We verkopen geen persoonsgegevens.
  • We gebruiken je gegevens niet voor cross-app tracking buiten standaard advertentie-attributie via de Meta SDK. Er wordt geen IDFA verzameld tenzij je in een toekomstige versie van de app expliciet App Tracking-toestemming geeft.
  • We vereisen geen social login.

7. Bewaartermijnen

Lokale gegevens blijven op je apparaat tot je de app verwijdert of de gegevens wist. Analyticspartners (PostHog, Meta) bewaren event-data volgens hun eigen beleid.

8. Jouw rechten (AVG/GDPR)

Als je in de EU bent, kun je inzage, correctie of verwijdering vragen van persoonsgegevens die wij over jou bewaren. De meeste data staat lokaal op je apparaat en analytics gebruikt anonieme identifiers, maar je kunt altijd contact opnemen via Sabri.makhoukhi@gmail.com.

9. Privacy van kinderen

Reselo is niet gericht op kinderen onder de 13 (of onder de 16 in landen waar die grens geldt). We verzamelen niet bewust gegevens van kinderen.

10. Wijzigingen in dit beleid

We kunnen dit privacybeleid van tijd tot tijd aanpassen. Door de app te blijven gebruiken na wijzigingen, accepteer je het bijgewerkte beleid.
